Swedish SKF Bearings code summary

(1) interior design
ACD - contact angle of 25 degrees.
B - contact angle of 40 degrees.
CC - a contact angle of 12 degrees.
CD - contact angle of 15 degrees.
BE - contact angle of 40 degrees BE-type bearings, ball up, with glass fiber reinforced polyamide 6.6 cage.
Double row angular contact ball bearings
A - 90 mm outer diameter less than or equal bearing of standard design, are not equipped with the ball gap, glass fiber reinforced polyamide 6.6 cage.
E - loaded ball bearing side of the mouth can be installed more balls, so with high radial and axial load capacity.
Spherical Roller Bearings

N2 - There are two chamfered outer diameter direction relative notch.
PP - bearing (bearing roller bearings, cam follower bearing) with contact seals on both sides.
RS - bearing (needle bearing) side of a synthetic rubber or polyurethane-contact seal.
-RS1 - bearing side plate has a rubber lining contact seals.
-2RS1 - bearing sealed on both sides with RS1.
-2RS - Bearings (needle bearings) sealed on both sides with the RS.
-RZ - bearing side lining plate with low-friction synthetic rubber seal.
-2RZ - bearing sealed on both sides with RZ.
X - 1. Basic dimensions, as amended, in line with ISO standards; 2. Cylindrical rolling surface (bearing roller bearings, cam follower bearing).
Z - bearing side with the dust cover (non-friction seal).
-2Z - bearing both sides with dust cover.
-ZN - bearing side with the dust cover, the other side of the outer ring has groove.
-2ZN - bearing both sides with dust cover, the outer ring has groove.
-2NR - with-ZN, and with a stop ring.
-2ZNR - with-2ZN, and with a stop ring.
  (3), Cage
In order to show that the bearing cage guide way, the post holder may be added after the code letter A or B.
A said cage from the outer boot;
B said cage from the inner guide. No representation cage guided by the ball.
F - special cast iron, steel or solid cage.
J - steel stamping cage.
M - light alloy solid cage.
MP - solid brass cage.
P - Glass Fiber Nylon 6.6 injection mold cage.
TN - plastic mold injection cage.
Y - copper metal forming cage.
V - full roller bearings (no cage).
VH - Separate from the non-roller assembly consisting of full roller bearings (cylindrical roller bearings).
(3) Other features
1) Tolerance class
/ CLN - equivalent to ISO tolerance class 6X, for the metric tapered roller bearings (width tolerances are lower).
/ CL0 - the equivalent of ISO0 level tolerances for inch tapered roller bearings.
/ CL3 - the equivalent of ISO3 level tolerances for inch tapered roller bearings.
/ CL7A - consistent with the differential bearing configuration standard tapered roller bearings.
/ CL7C - meet the standard differential bearing configuration special tapered roller bearings.
/ P4 - size and rotation accuracy level consistent with ISO4 tolerance (precision than P5).
/ P4A - ISO4 level tolerance consistent dimensional accuracy, rotation accuracy equivalent to the standard ABEC9 AFBMA level.
/ P5 - Size rotation accuracy level consistent with ISO5 Tolerance (accuracy is higher than P6).
/ PA9A - size and rotation accuracy equivalent to the standard ABEC9 AFBMA level.
/ PA9B - dimensional accuracy equivalent to the standard ABEC9 AFBMA, rotation accuracy is higher than PA9A.
/ SP - dimensional accuracy of about P5, rotation accuracy is about P4.
/ UP - dimensional accuracy of about P4, rotation accuracy is higher than P4.
2) bearing clearance
/ C1 - Clearance of the standard provisions of a group, clearance was less than 2 groups.
/ C2 - Clearance meet the standard requirements of the two groups, group clearance is less than 0.
/ C0 - Clearance of the standard requirements of the 0 group, code-named the omission, does not mean that.
/ C3 - Clearance meet the standard requirements of the 3 groups, clearance is greater than 0 groups.
/ C4 - Clearance meet the standard requirements of the 4 groups, clearance greater than 3 groups.
/ C5 - Clearance meet the standard requirements of the 5 groups, clearance than 4 groups. When the bearing clearance tolerance level code and code P4, P5 or P6 when combined, clearance code C can be omitted. Cases: P6 + C2 = P62 3) special technical requirements.
/ Q - the best internal geometry and the surface roughness (for tapered roller bearings).
/ Q66 - less than the ordinary level standard vibration level, vibration peak is less than normal standard.
/ QE5 - meet the motor with a special standard, size and rotation accuracy of P6. Very low noise.
/ QE6 - meet the standard motor and low noise.
4) bearing configuration.
/ DB - the two can be paired single row deep groove ball bearings, single row angular contact ball bearings or single row tapered roller bearings installed in pairs back to back manner. DB digits after the size of the axial clearance or pre-load size of the installation.
A - Light Pre-load (angular contact ball bearings).
B - A large pre-load ratio (angular contact ball bearings).
C - pre-load than the B-(angular contact ball bearings).
CA - internal clearance less (deep groove or angular contact ball bearings).
CB - CA internal clearance than the large (deep groove or angular contact ball bearings).
CC - CB internal clearance than the large (deep groove ball bearing).
CG - "Zero" clearance (tapered roller bearings).
C ... - CC special axial internal clearance behind the numbers indicate the size of the axial clearance.
GA - less pre-load (deep groove ball bearing).
GB - pre-load is greater than CA (deep groove ball bearing).
G ... - special pre-load (G behind the numbers indicate the size of pre-load).
/ DF - Two separate pairs, arranged in face to face, deep groove ball bearings, single row angular contact ball bearings or single row tapered roller bearings. DF and DB back to after with the same letters.
/ DT - Two pairs, arranged in series deep groove ball bearings, single row angular contact ball bearings or single row tapered roller bearings.
5) heat treatment. Inside and outside the ring bearing size after stabilization, the temperature in the following run:
/ S0 - up to 150 degrees Celsius.
/ S1 - up to 200 degrees Celsius.
/ S2 - up to 250 degrees Celsius.
/ S3 - up to 300 degrees Celsius.

/ MT - Medium Temperature Grease (-30 degrees Celsius to 110 degrees Celsius).

A: amount less than the standard amount of grease.
B: grease content than the standard amount.
C: grease content was larger than B.
8) other features. Letter V and the other letters (such as VA) and three digital portfolio can not be used to identify the existing code of other post-expression variant of the standard design. Such as:
